Fluid Power Distributors has been part of the New Zealand industrial landscape since 1984. We opened our doors in Hamilton as Fischer Pope Diesel, servicing and rebuilding diesel engines and transmissions. As the industry evolved, so did we. Recognising the growing demand for specialist hydraulic expertise, we made the shift to focus entirely on fluid power, formalising that commitment with our rebrand in 2015.
That evolution wasn't just a name change. It reflected decades of investment in technical knowledge, supplier relationships, and an inventory built to meet the real demands of New Zealand operators, in the field, on the job, when downtime isn't an option.
Parts, expertise, and service - all under one roof
Today, FPD operates as both an importer and wholesale distributor and a hands-on technical service provider. Our purpose-built Hamilton facility combines a working workshop with a showroom, giving customers direct access to the parts they need and the people who understand them.
We carry an extensive local inventory of hydraulic pumps, motors, seal kits, valves, pilot pumps, swing rings, travel motors, couplings, hand controls, and accessories, all stocked to support fast turnaround for operators across New Zealand and beyond.
As New Zealand's exclusive authorised distributor and service centre for Kawasaki Precision Machinery (KPM), we supply and support the full KPM range, including K3V, K5V and K7V series hydraulic pumps. Our wider brand portfolio spans many of the world's leading hydraulic manufacturers, giving customers genuine choice across both OEM and quality aftermarket options.
