Hydac Spin-On Filters
A practical, field-proven filtration solution for return line, suction, and pressure filter applications. The HYDAC MF/MFD/MFDS series uses a simple aluminium filter head and screw-on cartridge design — elements swap out quickly and cleanly without specialist tools, minimising service downtime. Built-in bypass valve protection comes standard across the range.Three configurations cover a range of connection sizes and flow capacities:
- MF — single filter element; compact and straightforward for lower to mid-range flows
- MFD — dual element, end-to-end configuration; doubles filter capacity in the same inline footprint
- MFDS — dual element, side-by-side configuration; suits installations where inline length is restricted

- Aluminium filter head construction
- Choice of NPT, SAE straight thread O-ring boss, or SAE 4-bolt flange porting — no costly adaptors required
- Fast, tool-free cartridge changeouts
- Clogging indicator port as standard; available in static and differential pressure sensing configurations
- Static indication for mobile/return line applications — sizes 40, 80, 85, 160, 180
- Differential indication for inline pressure applications — sizes 90, 95, 190, 195
- Compatible with hydrocarbon-based fluids — not suitable for high water-content fluids or phosphate esters
