Hydac SF / SFM / SFF Suction Filters
Tank-mounted suction filters designed to protect hydraulic pumps from contamination at the inlet. The SF/SFM/SFF series covers three distinct configurations — standard tank-top, mobile, and automatic shut-off — handling flows up to 500 l/min across a wide range of installation sizes.
SF — Tank-Top Suction Filter
- Maximum flow rate: 330 l/min
- Connections: G¾ to SAE DN 50
- Installation sizes: 60, 110, 160, 240, 330
- Housing material: aluminium (cover plate and housing)
- Bypass cracking pressure: 0.3 bar
- Filtration ratings: 75 µm or 125 µm (wire mesh); 10 µm or 20 µm (paper)
SFM — Suction Filter for Mobile Applications
- Maximum flow rate: 330 l/min
- Connections: G1½ and SAE DN 40
- Installation size: 330
- Housing material: aluminium head and cover plate; polyamide bowl
- Bypass cracking pressure: 0.3 bar
- Filtration ratings: 75 µm or 125 µm (wire mesh); 10 µm or 20 µm (paper)
SFF — Suction Filter with Automatic Shut-Off (Foot Valve)
- Maximum flow rate: 500 l/min
- Connections: SAE DN 65 to SAE DN 100
- Installation sizes: 400, 500
- Housing material: GGG40 cover plate; aluminium head; steel bowl
- Bypass cracking pressure: 0.25 bar
- Foot valve in base of filter bowl — prevents tank drainage on element change
- Filtration ratings: 75 µm or 125 µm (wire mesh)
